This summer I took song requests from the girls and did improv yoga with them! I love how the girls were really able to open up and share their stories and feel like they fit in.

This class was really fun! The activities were awesome, and I loved how you/the teacher, took song recommendations. I also loved the girls in this class. They were a lot like me and I felt like I actually fit in. I was extremely nervous, but I had A LOT of fun.

I enjoyed the calmness of GRYC and how kind Kim was to everyone. All the art projects were super fun and inspirational. I found the relaxation time at the end very soothing and calming. I will totally do this again next year. (+ the yoga was awesome!).

What I learned in yoga was that things I am having trouble with are normal. Another thing is that it is super fun and I go home feeling different; more zen I guess! The people there accept me for myself and accept my flaws. OMG it was so FUN!

I enjoyed meeting new people and talking in a group of girls my age about common problems with middle school girls. I learned that you can use breathing as a calming technique when you are anxious.
